Introduction

Malaki ("we", "our", or "us") operates the FieldLog mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App.

FieldLog is an offline-first application. All your data — estimates, invoices, client information, company profiles, and catalog items — is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your data on any external servers.

Website Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it. Google may collect device and usage information such as pages visited; this data is processed by Google. See Google's Privacy Policy for details. This applies only to visits to this website — FieldLog the app does not share your estimates or client data with Google Analytics.

Information Collection and Use

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

FieldLog stores the following types of data exclusively in a local database on your device using Android Room:

• Company profile information: Business name, phone, email, address, tax rate, logo, payment terms, and currency preferences you enter in Settings
• Client information: Client names, phone numbers, email addresses, and physical addresses you create while building estimates
• Estimate and invoice data: Line items, quantities, unit prices, discounts, tax calculations, totals, and statuses for estimates you create
• Catalog items: Product or service templates with titles and unit prices you add to your catalog

None of this data is transmitted to us or to any third party. The data remains solely on your device and within your control.

Google Play Billing

If you choose to upgrade to FieldLog Pro, the purchase transaction is processed entirely through Google Play's billing system. We do not collect or store your payment card details. Google's Privacy Policy applies to payment processing.

PDF Export and Sharing

FieldLog generates PDF documents locally on your device. When you use the Share feature, you choose which app to share with (email, messaging, cloud storage, etc.). The sharing is initiated by you and handled by Android's standard share intent system. We do not have access to shared documents.

Analytics and Crash Reporting

FieldLog does not integrate any third-party analytics, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs. The app uses Timber for internal debug logging, which is disabled in release builds.

Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:

• Delete individual records: You can delete estimates, clients, and catalog items from within the app
• Clear all data: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data permanently
• App data management: You can clear the app's data through Android Settings > Apps > FieldLog > Storage > Clear Data

Permissions

FieldLog requests no special Android permissions. It does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or files without your explicit action through the share sheet.

Children's Privacy

Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
